A young boy walks into a bank every single day and deposits $100. One day, the bank manager takes notice and asks, "Hey kid, why do you keep dropping a hundred bucks in here every day?"
The kid grins and says, "Can we talk in your office?"
Curious, the manager agrees, and they step inside. Once the door closes, the kid spills the beans:
"I make a bet every day with someone new that I can kiss my right eye."
The manager bursts out laughing. "That’s impossible!"
The kid smirks. "Wanna bet?"
Thinking it’s easy money, the manager agrees. Quick as a flash, the kid pops out his fake eye and kisses it. Stunned, the manager realizes he’s been hustled and hands over the $100. But now, he wants his money back.
The kid grins. "Tell you what, double or nothing. I bet you’re wearing red women’s underwear. If I’m wrong, I’ll give you back your hundred—plus another hundred."
The manager scoffs. "You’re on!"
Before dropping his pants, the kid says, "Hold on, let’s get ten witnesses to make it official."
The manager gathers his team, feeling completely confident. He drops his pants and stands there proudly, knowing he just won $100. But then he notices something strange—the kid is smiling ear to ear.
Confused, the manager asks, "Why are you so happy? You just lost $100."
The kid grins wider. "Because I had a bet with your employees that I could get you to drop your pants in under five minutes."
The Concealed Carry Lesson:
What does this have to do with concealed carry? Everything.
The kid controlled the situation from start to finish—he had a plan, he executed it flawlessly, and his opponent (the manager) never even realized he was being played until it was too late.
A concealed carrier must have the same mindset.
You can’t just carry a gun and hope for the best.
You need a plan, training, and an understanding of how real-life encounters unfold.
If you’re not thinking ahead, someone else is—and that could put you in a dangerous position.
Carrying a firearm is about responsibility, awareness, and strategy. Just like the bank manager got caught off guard, you don’t want to be the person getting played in a life-or-death situation.
That’s why training matters.
Don’t leave your safety to chance. If you’re serious about carrying concealed, you need to know the law, understand real-world threats, and train for the unexpected.
